| Under The Sun Nature, the life of the earth, grows not only in passive response to the energy of the sun, but in an active effort to capture and direct its power, to reflect this light and claim it as life's own. This exhibition is focused on the rapport between the living and the light of the sun. All the photographs in this exhibit were captured around Tokyo. |

彼の写真はとても静か。とてもまっすぐで、じっと見ていると不思議がたくさんつまっていることに気づく。何かおかしい。 普通のカメラを使って、同じように私たちがシャッターを切っても、絶対こんな風にはならない。 それは彼がカナダ人であることに関係あるだろうか。それとも、カナダの大きな自然に育まれた感性だろうか。 まるで、シャープペンシルを使って描いたような、細密で静謐な写真たち。これが全て日本の風景だというのだから、ますます不思議。 暑い夏の日に木陰を差しだしてくれる木のような展示でした。 |
